Tis The Season!

Another great show at Upstart Crow--The Elves and the shoemaker! Winnie was one of the Mother Who Lived In the shoe's children-- and delivered her two lines like a star! :)
Happy Feet song: will try to post a video later today.
Happy Hanukkah!  Dreidel spinning with friends...
 Decorating the tree...

And a tradition of ours--a trip to the Waldorf Winter Faire:

Happy Holidays!

Third star on the right and straight on 'til morning

Those directions will get you to Neverland, which is where we spent our afternoon!

The guest list check-off sheet (which I found after the party was over... so sweet!)

My favorite part about this picture is Mike in the background, glancing over hishoulder to make sure he's not going to get stampeded by the fairies. He rocked this party--made all the food (homemade pizza, fruits, veggies, and homemade cupcakes with a whip cream frosting dyed with beet juice to make it pink! Nice work, papa...)

Everyone in Neverland needs a FairyDust Necklace...
Then a little Pin the Treasure on the Map...
And that's a wrap. Happy Birthday to our sweet, kind, thoughtful, funny and creative seven year old Pan...!

A New Home

The main reason for our loooong absence is that I ran out of space, having used all 1GB of room allowed on the blog. I didn't know such a limit even existed, but alas, after seven years of weekly postings, I'm not surprised to hear I reached a limit of some sort! This will be our new home-- the other will live on (so long as the internet lives on!), but our updates will be here. I'll get around to making it "pretty" soon... for now, I'm grateful to have a solution to my Maxed Out Message!

The other reason for our absence is that we've been busy!!
Thanksgiving at a friend's home with lots of other wee kiddos (one of the kid's tables pictured here)

Here is the little monkey in a photo op that was too reminisnent of another time, not so very long ago, when her sister was caught in the same position (sitting in the pantry with the door closed), committing the same act of sly snackery (eating dates).   Click here and scroll down a bit for a time warp to Winnie! You'll see the only difference is the reaction to getting caught. Winona: "uh-oh! Busted!" Jezebel: "Yeah, that's right! I'm THAT good!!!"
Winona is 7! A quiet family birthday and dinner at a neighbor's house marked the day itself. Tomorrow, 9 little girls fly away to NEverland (our house) in celebration of Winnie's big day!
One wonderful gift was an annual family pass to the science factory!! We wasted no time in getting there--we love the "superimpose mirrors." Thank you, Gma and Gpa KooKoo!!!

And, amidst it all, The Elves and The shoemaker which opens tomorrow night!

Yup, it's a pretty fast pace these days, but it's all fun stuff and we'll bring it back down to earth in January...Until then:
On your mark, get set.... GO!!!

So Far From February

The idea of "catching up" on this blog has been far too daunting... and paralyzed me for far too long! So, with many gaps in ...
