Valentine's Day snuck up on me this year-- which I don't usually let happen because I love it--love the crafting and sweetness of it all. But, alas, we were up to our ears in a reflooring project which had me composing love poems with phrases like "yahoo! no-more-carpet!" and "really-love-the-laminate."
Yes, romance abounded. BUT! We did pull off some V-day celebration:
And, of course, for the girls, the most fun part is getting all the loot from friends. Here they are going through each valentine--hoarding, then sharing, then hoarding some more--and thinking each one more exciting than the last.
Papa came in to tell me that he got me some chocolate, and it was in the back of the truck. (I mean, I do love chocolate and all, but a truckload sounded a little bit overdone...) Underneath my favorite chocolate bar was my new red reading chair that I've been coveting. Goes very well with the new floors, although it wasn't here, yet, when I took this picture, so you'll just have to come visit to see the chair. Here's the rest of the room. Ahhhh....
Other than that, we've been just playin' about. At the gymnastics gym: Ready, Set....
GO!
...enjoying rainy, cold afternoons at the library...
and seeing an ELECTRIFYING Hip Hop performance at our city's gem of a theater.
(Winona was awestruck and said things like, "Mama. This is what I want to do. This is totally what I want to do!" all night long.)
And... just hanging out doing the thing we do, which often looks a lot like this:
Love to everyone!
